Never Forget: A Tribute on the Anniversary of September 11th

Today, we pause. We pause to remember a day that changed our nation and the world forever. On this anniversary of September 11, 2001, we join our fellow Americans in honoring the memory of the nearly 3,000 innocent lives that were lost in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Though years have passed, the memory of that day remains vivid. We remember the shock, the sorrow, and the profound sense of loss. But we also remember the immense courage, the selfless heroism, and the remarkable spirit of unity that emerged from the ashes of tragedy.

Honoring Their Memory

We remember the victims and their families, who carry an unimaginable burden. We honor the first responders—the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and countless volunteers who ran toward danger without hesitation. Their bravery in the face of chaos stands as a powerful testament to the best of humanity.

We also remember the quiet strength of a nation that came together. In the days and weeks that followed, differences faded, and we were united as Americans, bound by a shared sense of community and resolve. It is that spirit of resilience and unity that continues to define us.

It is where we go to appreciate the simple moments and the freedoms we hold so dear; freedoms that so many have sacrificed to protect.

Today, as we reflect on the events of 9/11, we are reminded of how precious these moments are. We are reminded of the importance of community, of looking out for one another, and of cherishing the time we have with loved ones.
